A clearer comparison

Before you decide

What should I compare besides the monthly payment?

Compare the amount financed, APR, loan length and total of payments on the written offers. A longer term can lower the payment while increasing total interest. Keep down payment and trade-in assumptions the same when comparing.

Is the website payment estimate an approved loan offer?

No. The calculator uses assumptions to help you plan. Actual lender terms, taxes, charges and approval may differ. Ask for a written offer for the exact vehicle and review its credit disclosures before agreeing.

What belongs in a written purchase quote?

Request the VIN, vehicle selling price, itemized taxes and fees, any selected optional products, and the out-the-door total. Record a missing amount as unknown instead of treating it as zero. Ask which items are optional and confirm availability before visiting.
